Street Performance engine mounts are a perfect upgrade over your OEM engine mounts which are known to wear out over time, causing transmission play and lack of movement during gear changes.

A construction with a hardness of 80% on a durometer provides a significant improvement in performance and feel compared to the original support.

The result is a 70% improvement in stiffness over stock which is favorable for everyday driving.

STR Performance engine mounts are designed to reduce engine and transmission movement to help transfer power to the road. By tightening up the movement of the engine and transmission, drivers will immediately feel the differences the second they pull away.

STR Performance have spent considerable time engineering these mounts for everyday vehicles and as such have developed a product suitable for heavily modified lightweight vehicles.
Vehicles developed for competition differ greatly from those used on the street, and as a result, the requirements between the two are often not directly shared. Many companies make the mistake of referencing extremely harsh and noisy engine, transmission and subframe mounts as street performance products, but in doing so, they sacrifice a lot of driving experience without increasing performance.

The part's development went through several updates and revisions before achieving a balance between comfort and control. The anti-squat engine mount (under the chassis) provides a significant reduction in movement with and without acceleration, between gear changes and under acceleration. "Wheel Hop" is greatly minimized with this one modification. This mount completely replaces the stock part and does so without trying to fix the problem with small plastic or rubber inserts. The subframe mount alone is a perfect starting point for anyone looking to increase performance without adding a lot of vibration or noise.

OEM engine mounts and transmission mounts provide a compromise between performance and comfort to satisfy a very wide range of customers. In doing so, soft compounds are used that introduce movement of the engine and transmission that can decrease rigidity and lead to failure. Such failures can lead to damage to engine and transmission components due to load changes.

STR Performance engine and transmission mounts offer a true UPGRADE for those who also use the RacingLine anti-squat mount. The mounts increase vibration and noise in the cabin, but STR Performance has refined the mounts to provide just the rigidity needed without sacrificing comfort. Many customers report feeling a true connection to their vehicle after replacing the stock engine mounts.
