The lubricants used for your gearbox (manual or automatic) and for the rear differential of your vehicle are different from those used for the engine. Transmission lubricant has a much longer lifespan: 200,000 km for a truck or even the entire life of the vehicle for certain Mercedes-Benz models. A Transmission lubricant must be chosen in accordance with the recommendation of your vehicle manufacturer.
