Description of Vibra-Technics Reinforced Supports

Vibra-Technics mounts are excellent quality products, with no compromise on performance, and much greater resistance than original parts. With nearly 40 years of racing experience, the Vibra-Technics research and development team has been developing these products since the early 1990s. From design to production, Vibra-Technics products are entirely made in Europe.

The role of an engine mount (or gearbox mount) is to isolate vibrations in order to avoid transmitting them to the chassis (comfort), but also to reduce parasitic movements (efficiency and reliability). Vibra-Technics has found the perfect balance thanks to its aluminum and reinforced rubber mounts.

These reinforced supports limit the movements of the engine and transmission, with a maximum tolerance of 3 mm (compared to 30 mm on average originally). Thanks to these reduced movements, road behavior is improved (stabilized center of gravity). Gear changes under pressure are also facilitated, since the relative movements of the engine and gearbox in relation to the chassis are reduced.

In some cases, these supports also make your exhaust more reliable, particularly on turbo engines (the engine no longer moves and no longer deforms the line and its seals).

What is the difference between "road" and "circuit" supports?

The road versions of the Vibra-Technics mounts have been designed to filter all vibrations, from idle speed to the highest speeds. The competition mounts are more rigid and have not been particularly designed to filter vibrations below 3000 rpm. For reasons of comfort, we do not recommend the use of so-called "circuit" or "competition" mounts for a recreational vehicle used on the road.
